Paul Anderson

National Treasurer

Paul Anderson is a fourth-year honours student in International Relations at the University of St Andrews. Born in Aberdeen but growing up in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, he has always been a supporter Scottish independence and has been passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of people. Paul joined the SNP in 2016 and has since become a keen activist for the Scottish movement, initially amongst the students and local branch in St Andrews and now on a national level as National Treasurer.

Although International Relations is his passion, Paul also enjoys going on long walks, travelling to new places and helping other people reach their potential. Last summer he took part in the International Citizen Service programme with Voluntary Service Overseas, where he had the opportunity to engage in community development work with VSO Nigeria for ten weeks. He has also contributed several articles to a variety of publications including The National, Protocol Magazine, and of course, the FSN Blog.
